For items for which you want to specify grouping of time periods, specify values for the properties "Lot sizing period", "Lot sizing cycle", and "Lot sizing start". * How you specify values differs depending on how you want to group time periods.

Also, set the "Auto-replenish flag" to "Yes". You can specify the lot size of orders to auto-generate for the properties "Production lot size MAX", "Production lot size MIN", and "Production lot size UNIT".

Process selector 1 is set for AutomaticProcessing and has one processing process.

Time period grouping is specified for items as in the diagram below.
The time period is grouped by month for item C and by week for item B1 for lot sizing.(Note:2006/01/02 is Monday.)


When you use the time period grouping feature, you need to specify in the scheduling parameter that order explosion and assignment will be repeated for each low level code by using the command loop feature.
In the scheduling parameter for Sample J-2, a command loop is specified as assigning privileged operations and time fix constrained operations first and then repeating order explosion and assignment for unfixed operations from those with the smallest low level code (i.e. finished item side) to those with the largest low level code (i.e. raw material side).(In SsampleJ-2, since sales orders and purchase orders do not exist, the Assign sales orders command and the Assign purchase orders command are not necessary.) And at the end, adjustment and schedule evaluation are specified to be performed.


For the parameter "Explode orders/Assign time fixed operations", the property "Peg and update replenishment order" is set to "No". With this parameter, we want to perform order explosion only for privileged operations and time fix constrained operations, but if we merely perform order explosion, auto-replenishment orders generated from the parameter "Time period grouping" will be unassigned and new auto-replenishment orders will be generated every time we reschedule.To avoid this from happening, the property "Peg and update replenishment order" is set to "No".


The following properties of the scheduling parameter class are used for "Loop assignment".
"Loop initialize expression" initializes "Low level code MAX" and "Low level code MIN" to zero and sets the loop repetitions MAX to "Low level code MAX" of the project.
"Loop increment expression" sets the loop counter to "Low level code MAX" and "Low level code MIN".


If you reschedule, operations will be assigned as in the schedule below.
For item B1, operations are assigned by grouping the quantity to be required by next process operations for each week.
For item C, operations are assigned by grouping the quantity to be required by next process operations for each month.



Also, for example, specify "H1W" for Time constraint MIN trying to assign grouped operations for item B1 on the same days of the week (Sundays) .
And specify "H1D" trying to assign next process operations to start on the next day after grouped operations for item C end.
* In Sample J-2, the settings are made as above.


If you reschedule, operations will be assigned as in the schedule below.
Operations for item B1 are assigned on Sundays according to the setting of "Time constraint MIN " and by grouping the quantity to be required by next process operations for each week.
