Assign orders command for each order type and peg command

The following types of commands are available as assign and peg commands.

  • Assign/peg orders
  • Assign manufacturing orders
  • Assign purchase orders
  • Assign sales orders
  • Peg

The Assign/peg orders command is designed to assign and peg all types of orders by this single command. This command is also used in the Default scheduling parameter, which is a scheduling parameter set by default.

The Assign manufacturing orders, Assign purchase orders, and Assign sales orders commands assign each type of orders as the command names represent. The Peg command performs pegging between orders. Combining these four commands enables the scheduling equivalent to that is performed by the Assign/peg orders command.

Example 1: Command structure in which the Assign/peg orders command is used in the default scheduling parameter

 i. Prepare for assignment
 ii.Filter orders
 iii.Unassign all
 iv. Explode orders
 v. Assign privileged operations
 vi. Assign time fixed operations
 vii. Assign/peg orders
 viii.Adjustment
 ix. Beep
 x.Report

Example 2: Command structure equivalent to the above settings but in which the Assign/peg orders command is not used

 1.Prepare for assignment
 2.Filter orders
 3.Unassign all
 4.Explode orders
 5.Assign privileged operations
 6.Assign time fixed operations
 7.Assign purchase orders
 8.Assign sales orders
 9.Assign manufacturing orders
 10.Peg
 11.Assign sales orders
 12.Assign purchase orders
 13.Peg
 14.Adjustment
 15.Beep
 16.Report

The command structure that is equivalent to that of the default scheduling parameter in Example 1 is as in Example 2. In other words, the Assign/peg orders command corresponds to the above 7 to 13 commands in Example 2.

The following summarizes the processes to be performed by the those commands.

7. Assign purchase orders

Assigns operations of forward purchase orders.*

8. Assign sales orders

Assigns operations of backward sales orders.*

9. Assign manufacturing orders

Assigns manufacturing orders.

10. Peg

Pegs unassigned sales orders and purchase orders and also repegs considering the inventory valid period. Set the property Consider inventory MIN for the peg command to Yes.

11. Assign sales orders

Assigns operations of forward sales orders.*

12. Assign purchase orders

Assigns operations of backward purchase orders.*

13. Peg

Performs pegging again ignoring Inventory MIN. Set the property Consider inventory MIN for the peg command to No.

*Since assignable operations are assigned in scheduling, the first "Assign purchase orders" command assigns forward purchase orders, the first "Assign sales orders" assigns backward sales orders, the second "Assign purchase orders" command assigns backward purchase orders, and the second "Assign sales orders" assigns forward sales orders.
