Target inventory MIN

If you specify a value in the property "Target inventory MIN" of an item, replenishment orders will be generated and assigned for that item so that the inventory level exceeds the specified value.

There is another property called "Inventory MIN" that is similar to the property "Target inventory MIN". However, the "Inventory MIN" assigns operations so that the inventory level would not be less than the specified value, while the "Target inventory MIN" assigns operations so that the inventory level would exceed the specified value.

For example, if the Inventory MIN is set to 30, operations will be pegged in a way to consume inventory on a FIFO
(first-in, first-out) basis. However, the operation (assigned to M2) that consumes item C will be assigned only after the inventory level becomes greater than the value (30) specified as inventory MIN.

If the Target inventory MIN is set to 30, auto-replenishment orders will be generated, however, the operation (assigned to M2) that consumes item C will be assigned without waiting that the inventory level becomes greater than 30.

If the Inventory MIN is set to 30 and the Target inventory MIN is set to 70, the operation (assigned to M2) that uses item C will be assigned only after the inventory level becomes greater than the value (30) specified as inventory MIN and replenishment orders will be generated so that the inventory level would finally exceed the Target inventory MIN.
