Evaluate schedule


Executing the evaluate schedule command will evaluate the number of late orders, due date achievement, average wait time, and so on, and generate evaluation results in evaluation result, resource, and item objects. Evaluation result objects are positioned under the project at the same level as objects such as resource objects. Also, brief summary of evaluation results will be displayed in the message window.

You can display the schedule evaluation results table by selecting [Table View] - [Evaluation Result] - [Schedule] from the main menu. Items to evaluate are as follows.

Items to evaluate

Number of purchase orders

Number of purchase orders. Those with the Invalid flag, those for which items are not specified, and those of which the item is a member of an item group are excluded.

Number of manufacturing orders

Number of manufacturing orders. Those with the Invalid flag, those for which items are not specified, and those of which the item is a member of an item group are excluded.

Number of sales orders

Number of sales orders. Those with the Invalid flag, those for which items are not specified, and those of which the item is a member of an item group are excluded.

Inventory (absolute) orders

Number of inventory (absolute) orders. Those with the Invalid flag, those for which items are not specified, and those of which the item is a member of an item group are excluded.

Inventory (fluctuation) orders

Number of inventory (fluctuation) orders. Those with the Invalid flag, those for which items are not specified, and those of which the item is a member of an item group are excluded.

Number of event orders

Number of event orders evaluated. Those with the Invalid flag are excluded.

Number of late purchase orders

Number of purchase orders with due date specified that run late.

Number of late manufacturing orders

Number of manufacturing orders with due date specified that run late.

Number of late sales orders

Number of sales orders with due date specified that run late.

Number of EST violation manufacturing orders

Number of manufacturing orders that are in EST violation.

order due date achievement

Percentage of manufacturing orders finishing before their due date. When there is no order with due date specified, this field will be blank. This item includes three types as follows.

Number of operations

Number of operations evaluated. (Order types are purchase orders, manufacturing orders, and sales orders.)

Number of unassigned operations

Number of operations that have not been assigned. (Order types are purchase orders, manufacturing orders, and sales orders.)

Operations assigned to dummy resource

Number of operations assigned to dummy resources. (Order types are purchase orders, manufacturing orders, and sales orders.)

Number of forcibly assigned operations

Number of operations that have been forcibly assigned. (Order types are purchase orders, manufacturing orders, and sales orders.)

Number of time constraint violation operations

Number of operations that are in time constraint violation. (Order types are purchase orders, manufacturing orders, and sales orders.)

Number of res qty violation operations

Number of operations that are in resource quantity constraint violation. (Order types are purchase orders, manufacturing orders, and sales orders.)

Insufficient input qty operations

Number of operations with insufficient input items. (Order types are purchase orders, manufacturing orders, and sales orders.) Only those for which the property "Inventory constraint flag" of the item class is set to "Yes" will be checked.

Lead time

Lead time is defined as the time after subtracting the earliest production start time from the latest production end time among assigned use instructions. This item includes three types as follows.

Wait time

Average value of wait time between this process and the previous process. This item includes three types as follows.

Production start time - EST. This item includes three types as follows.

Total setup time

Total value of setup time.

Setup time percentage

100 x Setup time total / Production time total. Calculation results are rounded to the second decimal place.

Item switching frequency

Number of times the main output item that is produced on the same resource is switched.

Load

Ratio of production time + setup time to working time as 100%. Calculation results are rounded to the second decimal place. This item includes three types as follows.

Selecting and filtering objects to evaluate

Objects to evaluate for each class will be selected in the following way.

 OrderOrders are gathered through the prepare for assignment command and then filtered by the order filter expression.
 OperationOperations are gathered through the prepare for assignment command and then filtered by the operation filter expression.
 ItemGroup items are excluded from items existing in the project and then non-group items are filtered by the item filter expression.
 ResourceGroup resources, customer resources, and dummy resources are excluded from resources existing in the project and then non-group resources are filtered by the resource filter expression.

Also, the evaluate schedule command has the following filter properties by which to filter objects to evaluate. For orders and operations, those resulted from filtering by the filter orders and filter operations commands will be further filtered by the filter properties.

You can specify the period for which to evaluate resource loads using the following two properties of the evaluate schedule command.

Saving evaluation results

You can specify whether or not to save scheduling results using the following properties of the evaluate schedule command.

Save data in Ar4 file

Specify here whether or not to save scheduling results in Ar4 file. The results will be automatically saved after executing this command.

Save

Saves scheduling results by overwriting the current Ar4 file. (The property "Ar4 file name" will be ignored.)

Backup

Saves scheduling results under the name specified in the property "Ar4 file name" as a backup. You will need to specify a name of the Ar4 file when using this property.

Ar4 file nameSpecify here a file name when saving by alias.

In cases where you select "Backup" for the property "Save data in Ar4 file", specify here a name of the Ar4 file by which to save scheduling results. Since this property is of expression type, you will need to specify the value to be recognized as a string.

Example 2 (Specifying to save in the current folder): 'as.ar4'


Others

Schedule evaluation result objects will be generated every time when the evaluate schedule command is executed. You can specify the limit of the number of schedule evaluation result objects using the property "Max # schedule evaluation results". If the number of the objects exceeds this limit, the objects will be deleted from the one with the oldest date first. The default value is 50.


Schedule evaluation result objects have properties "Result code expression" and "Comment expression".

Result code expression

Specify here the name to assign to evaluation result objects. The default value is GetObjectName(ME)+' ('+Format(Now(),'yy/MM/dd hh:mm:ss')+')'.

Comment expression

Specify here the comment to give to schedule evaluation result objects using an expression.

The above expressions will be evaluated and specified as codes and comments when schedule evaluation result objects are generated.
