The scheduling parameter's of the default tool bar menu

Scheduling parameters are connected to the tool bar menu's reassign commands. The reassign scheduling commands have the command structure and properties as shown below.

Command structure

The reassign scheduling commands have the following command structure.

Upload selected operations (selected by GUI) Gather all the operations selected on the upper-most chart or table.
Filter operations Filter the gathered operations.
Unassign all To reassign, first of all temporarily unassign all the operations.
Assign manufacturing orders Assign the filtered operations.
Evaluate schedule Evaluate the results of the schedule.

Property setting

The reassign scheduling parameters provided by default are set to assign in order from the left.

The parameters have been set so that the selected operations, for the period of time from the start of the selected operations to the end of the operations are assigned in order from the right.

The main properties are the following.

Dispatching rule

Set the dispatching rule in accordance with each menu. Please see below for more details.

Assignment type

Set to "Finite Capacity" to assign from the left in order using finite capacity.

Assignment direction

Set to "Forced forward" to assign from the left without being dependent on the fixed level.

Resource selection method

Set to "Current resource" to reassign operations that have already been assigned.

Temporary operation fix

Set to "None" because the operations will be reassigned in order from the left.

Production time calculation

Set to the general setting of "Main resource".

Assignment start time

Set to "Min(ME.OperationList,TARGET.StartTime)" to assign forward with the earliest start time of the chosen operations.

Assignment endtime

Set to "Max(ME.OperationList,TARGET.EndTime)+1d" to assign the chosen operations within the range of the latest end time plus one day.

Split operations

Set to "No" to reassign the split operations as they are.

Assign split operations near each other

Set to "No" to individually reassign the split operations according to the dispatching rule.

Dispatching rule absolute

Set to "Yes" to enforce the ordering of the reassignment to be that of the dispatching order, from the left.

Ignore unassigned pegged operations

Set to "Yes" to reassign even when the operations pegged before and after are unassigned.

Filter operations

Set to "(ME.Order.Type=='M')&&(ME.TimeFixedLevel==0)" so that the only operations that will be assigned will be those that are scheduled operations of manufacturing orders (and not result operations, frozen operations, released operations or fixed operations).

In order to display the reassign commands in the popup menu but not display them in the Scheduling parameters combo box set the following properties.

Parameter type

For display in a pop-up menu, set this to “Parameter for reassignment”.
