Currency format expression

Steps

You may specify in an expression the display format for monetary values to "Currency format" in the "Locale" tab of the "Edit Workspace" dialog.

By default, it is specified as follows:

Format(INPUT,'\\,##0.')

How to use currency format expressions

In order to display values in terms of currency by using the expression specified for the currency format, use the internal function, CurrencyFormat function.

The CurrencyFormat function has a single parameter and provides the property that you would like to display in the currency format.
The given property corresponds to the currency format's INPUT, and the evaluation result of the currency format expression will be the return value for the CurrencyFormat function.

Examples on how to use CurrencyFormat functions

1. Display in the currency format the unit price of the order item in the use instruction bar text of the resource Gantt chart.

Specify the use instruction bar text expression of the resource Gantt chart as follows:

CurrencyFormat(ME.Order.Item.Price)

If the unit price of the order item is 100 (yen), it will be displayed as follows:

\100

2. Display in the currency format the earnings of the KPI evaluation result table.

Specify the display expression of the property definition for earnings as follows:

CurrencyFormat(INPUT)

If the earnings are 10000, it will be displayed as follows:

\10,000

2. Display in the currency format the earnings of the KPI evaluation result table.

Currency format expressions are changeable. If you change the expression, the result of the CurrencyFormat function will change accordingly.
For example, if you specify the currency format expression as:

Format(INPUT, '#,##0.')+'yen'

the result (using the earnings of the above example) will be displayed as:

10,000 yen
