Dialogs Overview

In the Filter Expression Editor, you can specify conditions to extract records from a table view or table time chart window.

The modes "Basic" and "Advanced" are available in this dialog.

Basic mode

And/Or

Select "And" or "Or" when you want to filter by multiple conditions. You can specify "And" or "Or" from the second condition and after.

Meaning

And

Meets this condition as well as the condition specified in the row above this row.

Or

Meets this condition or the condition specified in the row above this row.

Property

Select the property by which you want to filter.

Index

In cases, where a property contains multiple data such as the property "Comments", specify an index for the filter target data. For example, if you want to filter by the third data of the comments, specify "3" as the index. When properties for which you can specify multiple values are not selected, the Index column will be automatically hidden.

Condition

Select the condition for the property and value by which to filter records. You can select conditions from the following options.

Condition

Meaning

==

Records of which values of the property are equal to the specified value will be chosen.

!=

Records of which values of the property are not equal to the specified value will be chosen.

Records of which values of the property are greater than the specified value will be chosen.

>=

Records of which values of the property are greater than or equal to the specified value will be chosen.

Records of which values of the property are smaller than the specified value will be chosen.

<=

Records of which values the property are smaller than or equal to the specified value will be chosen.

Specified

Records in which values are specified for the property will be chosen.
* When a default value is specified for the property, no records will be chosen here.

Not specified

Records in which values are not specified for the property will be chosen.
* When a default value is specified for the property, no records will be chosen here.

Includes

Records in which the specified value is included in the values of the property will be chosen.

Value

Specify a value of the property by which to filter. You will input values in different ways depending on the types of properties.

Type

How to input

Example

String

Enclose the value by single quotations.

'xyz'

Date

Enclose the value by sharp signs.

#2003/6/2#

For other types of properties, specify values as they are.

For example, if you want to extract resources in which "the num spec value is set to a number from 30 to 180 and the spec 1 value set to is red", you can specify the filter conditions as follows.

And/Or

Property

Condition

Value

Num spec 1 MAX

<=

180

And

Num spec 2 MIN

>=

30

And

Spec 1

'==

'Red'

Also, when the property you selected is an object type property, you can select a value from the combo box. (* This is a restricted feature in Ver.4.)

This button deletes the filter condition you selected. When multiple conditions are selected, only the one at the top will be deleted.

If you select a filter condition and click on this button, a condition row will be added above the selected filter condition. The value "And" will be set in the "And/Or" field for condition rows to add. When multiple filter conditions are selected, only the one at the top will be the target.

Clear

Deletes all the filter conditions.

OK

Executes filtering by the conditions you specified.
