Hierarchy Properties dialog (versions earlier than Ver. 15.2)

Dialogs Overview

Hierarchical display and drilldown display

For Ver. 15.2 and later, please click here.

In the Hierarchy Properties dialog, you can specify the contents to be displayed when you perform drilldown on table rows.

A list of properties that define the hierarchical structure of rows registered in the selected table and the style applied to the table will be shown in the dialog.

(1) Caption of the dialog

The caption of the dialog is displayed as the name of the dialog followed by the name of the style that is last applied to the target table, e.g. "Hierarchy Properties-<name of the style>".

(2) Class selection combo box

Types (Classes) of records displayed in the table you selected are listed. If you select a class from the combo box, object type properties of the selected class will be displayed in the property list.

(3) Property list

Lists the object type properties for which settings can be specified. The properties are listed in alphabetical order.

If you check a box in the list, objects to display as child rows will be searched through the checked property when you perform drilldown on the parent row. If you uncheck the box, the search will be done without traversing that property.

By checking multiple properties, you can display objects of multiple types in the same hierarchy or display multiple hierarchies.

Example 1

If you check multiple properties of the same class, objects of multiple types will be displayed in the same hierarchy when you perform drilldown display.

For example, if you check

  • [Order class] Child orders
  • [Order class] Item

for the order Gantt chart, order Gantt rows of child orders and inventory graph rows of the item will be displayed in the second hierarchy.

Example 2

If you check multiple properties of different classes, multiple hierarchies will be displayed.

For example, if you check

  • [Item class] Orders which use this item
  • [Order class] Child orders

for the item table, items will be displayed in the first hierarchy, orders in the second, and child orders in the third and after.

(4) Default hierarchy

The item that is always displayed first in the property list is "Default hierarchy". In the default hierarchical structure, instructions of operations and resource evaluation objects of the scheduling parameter will be displayed in the hierarchy in addition to child objects. If you want to use the default hierarchy, please check this option. You can also check the default hierarchy and add other properties to the hierarchy. If you do not want to display the default hierarchy but display other contents, please uncheck this option.

(5) Reset

Ignores the contents you have edited so far and returns the dialog to the status when it was opened.

(6) Cancel All

Removes all the checks in the property list.

(7) Save in the current style

If you check this option, the settings you have made will be applied to the target window (i.e. the table from which the dialog was opened) and also the settings will be saved in the target style (i.e. the style that was selected when you opened the dialog) when closing the dialog using the OK button. If you do not check this option, the settings will be applied only to the target window (the table from which the dialog was opened) when closing the dialog using the OK button.

OK

Reflects the contents you have set and closes the dialog. How the specified contents are reflected differs depending on whether you check the option "Save in the current style".

Cancel

Discards the contents you have set and closes the dialog.

Properties that belong to the default hierarchy

If you check the option "Default hierarchy", properties (such as child objects and instructions of operations) included in the default hierarchy will be automatically checked and you will not be able to remove the check separately for each property. If you uncheck the option "Default hierarchy", you will be able to check and uncheck each property.

Properties of different classes

If you select other classes from the class selection combo box, "Default hierarchy" and checked items will be displayed in the upper part of the list and properties of the selected class will be displayed below those items. If the checked items are not the properties of the selected class, the names of the properties will be displayed as "property name [class name]".
