Grouping method dialog

Dialogs Overview


You can set up a grouping for a table.


Property

Sets which property the grouping will work upon.

Index

In case that there exist multiple data, you may set up an index for the targeted grouping data. For instance, when you do grouping by using the 3rd commented data, you may use "3" for setting up the index.

If the selected property is not a multidata type, the index column will remain hidden.

Summary row

You can set the location to display the summary rows for groups.

None

It shall not display the summary rows for aggregate results.

Above data

It shall display the summary rows for aggregate results above the targeted aggregating data.

Below data

It shall display the summary rows for the aggregate results below the targeted aggregating data.

Summary type

Sets the type of grouping.

Sum

Displays the sum of values in the group. This is valid when types of properties are other than a character string type, an enum type and a time type.

Average

Displays an average of values. Types of properties are valid for those other than a character string type and an enum type.

Number of items

Displays the number of members in the group.

Minimum value

Displays the minimum value within the group. This is valid when types of properties are other than a character string type as well as an enum type.

Maximum value

Displays the maximum value within the group. This is valid when the property types are other than a character string type as well as an enum type.

Minimum and maximum value

Displays minimum and maximum values within the group. This is valid when the property types are other than a character string type as well as an enum type.

Show summary rows only

When checked, only the group summary rows themselves will be displayed


You can lower the grouping priority by moving the selected grouping key downward. While selecting the multiple grouping keys, you can move the top key only.


You can increase a grouping priority by moving a selected grouping key upward. While selecting the multiple grouping keys, you can move the top key only.


You can delete the selected grouping key.


The grouping key is to be added. While a grouping key is being selected, you may add a grouping key below the selected key, which has the same setting. While a multiple grouping keys are being selected, a top key is to be a targeted key. You may select empty rows or may not select a grouping key. In this case, an empty key is to be added.


All the grouping keys are to be deleted.


You can open Expression Editing Dialog to prepare for a custom grouping key.

OK

You can execute a grouping based on the grouping conditions you have set up.

Cancel

You can close the grouping method dialog by abolishing everything you have changed and set up.
