Working pattern settings

Displays the working pattern settings dialog.
In the Working Pattern Settings dialog box, set the shifts and resource quantities and apply them to the selected cells.

Example 1

Select 6/14 and 6/15 for the resources Mixer 1 and Packer 1; then, specify from the working pattern settings dialog [DayShiftB] and [NightShift] with the resource quantity of (3).

The selected cells will change to [DayShiftB]. The corresponding calendar records will be added in the calendar table.

Jump

Jump to the calendar or shift table used in the selected cell and edit it directly.

Copy Shift

Copy the shift codes. The shift codes can be pasted in a text editor or Excel.

Paste Shift - Only Shift

Paste only the shift.

Paste Shift - Shift and Resource Quantity

Paste only the shift and resource quantity.

Paste Shift - Only Resource Quantity

Paste only the resource quantity.

Delete shift

A sub menu will list all the shifts that fall within the selected cells, and clicking on a shift will delete the corresponding calendar record.

Example 1

Suppose that two kinds of calendars have been specified: [DayShift] from Mon to Fri for all resources and [AllDay] for 6/7-6/8 for Packer 1 and 2.
If you select the area from Mixer 1 (6/6) to Packer 2 (6/9) on the resource Gantt chart or the load graph, the sub menu for [Delete Shift] will display [AllDay].
[AllDay] is included in the sub menu for [Delete Shift], because the shift falls within the selected cells, whereas [DayShift] is not included in the sub menu, as the shift extends past the selected cells.

If you select [AllDay] from the sub menu for [Delete Shift], the corresponding calendar record will be deleted.

Example 2

Suppose that two kinds of calendars have been specified for Packer 1, 2 and 3:
[DayShift] for 6/11-6/13; and [AllDay] for 6/14-6/15. If you select the area from Packer 1 (6/13) to Packer 3 (6/14) on the resource Gantt chart or the load graph, the sub menu for [Delete Shift] will display nothing, and you will not be able to select from the menu.
This is because the shifts all extend past the selected cells.

If you select the area from Packer 1 (6/11) to Packer 3 (6/13), there is a corresponding calendar record that falls within the selected cells (the shift being [DayShift]); and the sub menu for [Delete Shift] will display [DayShift].

Example 3

Suppose that a calendar has been specified for Packer 1, 2 and 3 as follows: [DayShiftB] and [NightShift] for 6/5-6/7, with the resource quantity of (3).
If you select the area from Packer 1 (6/5) to Packer 3 (6/7) on the resource Gantt chart or the load graph, the sub menu for [Delete Shift] will display [All], [DayShift] and [NightShift].

If you select [NightShift] from the sub menu for [Delete Shift], the [NightShift] will be deleted from the corresponding calendar record.

Example 4

Suppose that a calendar has been specified for Packer 1, 2 and 3 as follows:
[DayShift] on 6/9; [DayShiftB] on 6/10; [DayShift] on 6/11. If you select the area from Packer 1 (6/9) to Packer 3 (6/11) on the resource Gantt chart or the load graph, the sub menu for [Delete Shift] will display [All], [DayShift] and [DayShiftB].

If you select "NightShift" from the sub menu for [Delete Shift], the "NightShift" will be deleted from the corresponding calendar record.

If the date is "*" or has the day of the week specified, you may delete it from the sub menu for [Delete Shift] by selecting the vertical axis (resources) or the top left part of the resource Gantt chart or the load graph(to select the entire date).

If you select the top left part of the resource Gantt chart or the load graph, only those records whose calendar resource is "*" will match.

Set Shift for Day of Week

If [Set Shift for Day of Week] in the body part popup menu of the Resource Gantt chart or the load graph is checked, the selected shift or working pattern will apply to the days of the week that correspond to the resources / dates for the selected cells on the resource Gantt chart and the load graph.

Example 1

Select 6/7 and 6/8 for the resources Packer 1 and Packer 2; then select [AllDay(Set Shift for Day of Week)] from the popup menu.

The days of the week corresponding to the selected cells (Saturday and Sunday) will change to [AllDay]. The corresponding calendar records will be added in the calendar table.

Example 2

Select 6/14 and 6/15 for the resources Mixer 1 and Packer 1; then, specify from the working pattern settings dialog [DayShiftB] and [NightShift] with the resource quantity of (3).

The days of the week corresponding to the selected cells (Saturday and Sunday) will change to [AllDay]. The corresponding calendar records will be added in the calendar table.

Example 3

Select 6/9 and 6/10 by day of the week (select the applicable dates with the left button while pressing the Shift key) and select [DayShiftB(Set Shift for Day of Week)] from the popup menu.

The days of the week corresponding to the selected cells (Monday and Tuesday) will change to [DayShiftB]. The corresponding calendar records will be added in the calendar table.
The calendar resource will be "*."

Set shift for day of month

If [Set Shift for Day of Week] in the body part popup menu of the Resource Gantt chart or the load graph is checked, the selected shift or working pattern will apply to the days of the week that correspond to the resources / dates for the selected cells on the resource Gantt chart and the load graph. ( After Ver.12.0.3 )

Example 1

Select 6/7 and 6/2 for the resources Packer 1 and Packer 2; then select [AllDay(Set Shift for Day of Week)] from the popup menu.

The selected cells will change to [AllDay]. The corresponding calendar records will be added in the calendar table.

Apply to cells

If [Set Shift for Day of Week] in the body part popup menu of the Resource Gantt chart or the Load Graph is not checked, the selected shift or working pattern will apply to the resources / dates for the selected cells on the resource Gantt chart and the load graph.
It will lists the shifts from the Shift table. Select a shift and change the working pattern of the selected cell.

For example, as shown below, the shift codes from the Shift table is listed.

When the shift code that can be applied for the relevant resources is set in the [Applicable shift] property for resources, only the shift that has been set is displayed in the popup menu (Ver. 13 restricted feature).

Example 1

Select 6/7 and 6/8 for the resources Packer 1 and Packer 2; then select [AllDay] from the popup menu.

The selected cells will change to [AllDay]. The corresponding calendar records will be added in the calendar table.

Example 2

Select 6/9 and 6/10 by day of the week (select the applicable dates with the left button while pressing the Shift key) and select [DayShiftB] from the popup menu.

The selected cells will change to [DayShiftB] and [NightShift] with the resource quantity of 3. The corresponding calendar records will be added in the calendar table.
The calendar resource will be "*."

Example 3

Select the resource InspectionCenter1 (click InspectionCenter1 on the vertical axis) and select [Holiday] from the popup menu.

The selected cells will change to [Holiday]. The corresponding calendar records will be added in the calendar table.
The calendar date will be "*."

Example 4

Select all (click the top left part of the resource Gantt chart or the load graph) and select [DayShiftB] from the popup menu.

The selected cells will change to [DayShiftB]. The corresponding calendar records will be added in the calendar table.
The calendar resource and date will be "*."

About the sequence of added calendar objects

In Asprova versions earlier than Ver. 13.1, the sequence of calendar objects added when editing the calendar from the resource Gantt chart or load graph were determined based on the following properties in Project Settings / Calendar tab, and the specified ranges.

Calendar serial No.
Calendar serial No. unit
Calendar default priority (full day)
Calendar default priority (week)
Calendar default priority (multi-day)
Calendar default priority (day)
Calendar default priority (all resources)
Calendar default priority (resource group)
Calendar default priority (resource) For example, if it is set as follows, Calendar default priority (day):4 Calendar default priority (resource): 100, if you only select 1 day to change the shift on Gantt chart, the priority will be ?104?.

In Asprova versions Ver. 13.1 and later, the sequence is determined so as to always reflect the latest operation, without using some of the above properties.
You can roll back the behaviour to versions earlier than Ver. 13.1 by setting [Sort order of auto generated calendar object] in the Project Settings to [Prefer range].
