Table Time Chart Windows Overview

Simple render mode

The Resource gantt chart is a table time chart whose table view displays resources.
This chart enables you to understand how operations are assigned to each resource.

Working time

The gray portions of the Resource gantt chart represents the Working Time of a resource.

Use Instruction Bar

When you reschedule, scheduling results are displayed on the Resource gantt chart by use instruction bars as a series of tasks for each resource.
On the use instruction bars, you can display information related to corresponding operations. This character string is called a "use instruction bar text expression". Depending on the settings of the use instruction bar text expression, you can display different information on the use instruction bars.

When the mouse is held above a use instruction bar, a tooltip displaying more information is shown.

The tooltip and status bar text can be customized.

Use instruction bars on the Gantt chart can be searched using Resource Gantt Search dialog.

Suspend time display method

When use instructions stretch across periods of time where there is no working time, the appearance of this suspended time can be changed with the [Suspend time display method] under the Bar tab)

(This feature was introduced from Version 6.2.2. Previously it had been "Underline").

Status

Depending on the status of an operation or task, the following markers are displayed under the bar:

Results

The use instruction bar appears shaded and a gray line is displayed under the Use instruction bar.

Frozen

A black line is displayed under the Use instruction bar.

Released

A green line is displayed under the Use instruction bar.

Fix

You can fix time or resources for each use instruction and operation. Depending on the method of fix, each fix is displayed differently as follows:

Full fix

Blue L-shaped markers are displayed under the Use instruction bar.

Time fix

Blue vertical markers are displayed under the Use instruction bar.

Resource fix

Blue horizontal markers are displayed under the Use instruction bar.

Connection Lines

Connection lines represent relationships between operations.

Warning display

As a result of scheduling, assigned operations may violate various constraints. The resource Gantt chart displays a warning for violation of constraints for the following:

Latest end time violation (lateness)

If an assigned operation runs late, the task string is displayed in red and a red check mark is shown on the lower right-hand corner of the operation.

Earliest start time violation

If an operation has been assigned before the earliest start time, the task string is displayed in blue.

Resource quantity violation

A red line is displayed under the Use instruction bar.

Forcibly assign

A red line is displayed under the Use instruction bar.

Time constraint violation

If the time relationship between processes violates time constraints (the relationship is reversed), the connecting lines will be displayed in red.

Time constraint MAX violation

If the time constraint MAX is violated, the text and connection lines will be displayed in orange.

Status bar text

On the status bar of the Resource Gantt chart, the displayed content is different depending on where the mouse is pointed to.

If the mouse is pointed to a Use instruction bar, the content is displayed using the [Use instruction status bar text expression] in the Display settings of the Resource Gantt chart.

If the mouse is pointing to a body part of the chart other than an Use instruction bar,

Resource code Start time - End time (resource quantity of Use instruction/resource quantity of working time) is displayed.

Disable Resource / Disable Order

A resource specified as "disabled" is disabled from assignment and appears shaded.

A Use instructions of the order specified as "disabled" appears shaded.
