You can link time chart windows together, making them share the same time axis behavior.
The time axis moves the same for all the linked windows.
For instance, you change the width of a column in one of the linked charts, the width of the column in the other linked charts also changes.
In addition, if you scroll the position of the time axis of one chart (horizontal scroll), the other linked charts also scroll to the same date.
The following settings/behaviours will be mutually updated for the linked charts.
Horizontal scroll position
Width of a column
Visible time of day
Day of week zoom factor
The linked chart displays the link ID on the upper left corner of the chart (i.e., area where a year is displayed)
Linking can occur when there are 2 charts or more. For instance, it is also possible to link 3 charts, as stated below:
Multiple sets of linked charts can exist at the same time, each with a different 'link ID'. Multiple sets of linked charts can exist at the same time, each with a different 'link ID'.
For instance as shown below, there exist 2 linkage IDs - ID:1 and ID:2. The link occurs within the same linkage ID:1 or within the same linkage ID:2.
Linking method 1 Right-click menu (Ver. 14 onwards)
From the popup menu in the upper left corner of the chart, select the window to be linked.
Linking method 2 Drag and drop
As shown below, you can move the mouse to the upper left corner of the chart (the area where the year is displayed), click the left button of the mouse and drag it to the same area of the chart with which you wish to link.
The settings of the dragged chart will be applied to the destination chart. In addition, the position of the divider between frame and table will be set to match that of the window where the drag originated. However, this will only be done when the link is created, and will not automatically update in other linked windows thereafter..
Linking method 3 Direct specification of link ID
You can specify the numeric value for "Link ID" located in the "Time axis" tab for the chart display setting manually. When you apply the same numeric value to the link ID for the chart with which you wish to link, the linkage takes place.
Link cancel method 1 Right-click menu (Ver. 14 onwards)
From the right-click popup menu in the upper left part of the chart, select the window whose link is to be removed.
Link cancel method 2 Drag and drop
In order to cancel the link, move the mouse to the upper left corner area of the linked chart (the area where the year is displayed), and drag and drop it outside this corner area (you can drop it anywhere as long as not on the corner area of another chart).
Linking cancel method 3 Direct deletion of link ID
Delete the numeric value for "Link ID" located in the "Time axis" tab for the chart display setting.
